Top 5 Big Data Trends Highlighted in Major Enterprise Projects

Big Data is often presented as more of a buzzword than reality. But listen to the users about their projects in the largest conference in Boston Innovation Data last week provided information on what the power of big data can mean to a company. Here are my top five takeaways from the conference.

1.) The data of hybrid cloud. Blogged about this before, but it bears repeating. Companies are not about to abandon infrastructure of structured data. Structured data from the likes of Oracle, IBM and Microsoft support the operations of most large companies.
The goal of the manager data infrastructure is to mix technology with existing systems that incorporate hybrid systems and external data is not structured. However, the traditional suppliers should not breathe too easy. While the current system will remain, after drawing the graphical client presentations traditional suppliers were confined to existing boxes, while the new money is going to new suppliers and new platforms.
StubHub has a network of 25 data sources of data, structured and unstructured. Sastry Malladi, data architect for StubHub, said that the use of open source is important to avoid estate architecture lock-in. "Right now the biggest innovation is the way to create a system of hybrid data"

2.) Mobility is driving a large investment data. Mobile platforms with their position, communications and portability are heavily consumer platform innovation data. MapMy Fitness began as a way of mapping running routes and has expanded to a wide range of fitness activities and vice MapMyFitness monitoring.the staff health, has seen the company grow to 19 million users and has developed an infrastructure of public-private hybrid cloud to match the capabilities of the user's activities, such as increased cyclists in summer lovers and fitness following through fitness resolutions after the start of the new year.
"We are at the center of the ecosystem and health-related fitness." The additional required climbing associated with health and fitness monitoring is prompting the company to use the techniques developed to date by the likes of Facebook and Google.

3.) Big data can surround and enhance existing applications. StubHub began as an exchange of business sports and entertainment. The company is now taking a broader perspective on all the activities around an event, including the services of commentary, accommodation, catering and social transport.
The social networking services are driving the hybrid model in which large quantities of engines acquisition, analysis and recommendation of the driving data. Traditional transaction systems simply are not designed for the type of user input.

4.) The Internet of Things will present projects large data seem small things. senior director of Americas practical technology SAS business intelligence provider, said "billion is the new million" when you start to consider all the data pouring in organizations like the Internet of Things moves from concept to reality.
The skills needed to build systems that capture, store, analyze, and predictive analysis are scarce, and customers and suppliers will have to be innovative in training employees to develop new skills. The example of locomotives, wagons, a time equipped with sensors connected to a data analysis system, authorized clients to anticipate with greater precision wear parts to prevent malfunctions.

5.) Great innovation is coming to the front of the data spectrum is considering using crowd sourcing for product pricing and make selections of images accompanying product descriptions, senior director of engineering for the use of techniques such as crowd sourcing in the front end of the decision process is completed large data spectrum.

Existing large data systems are good at analyzing large data sets once developed, but are only as good as the data entering the system. Crowd sourcing is a way to add additional data to the front of the large data processing and improve the results of the analysis. "We have to extend the front of the system," Big data is more than a buzzword, but the creation of large data systems require new ways of thinking about the decision systems, which are just entering the market.
